The production unit is located at the Celanese Clear Lake acetyl intermediates manufacturing facility located in Pasadena, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith on-site production capability of synthesis gas \u2013 a crucial intermediate raw material for\u00a0the production\u00a0of acetic acid, hydrogen and methanol \u2013 Celanese is able to manage future productivity and growth configuration options for the world\u2019s largest acetyl intermediates production facility, as well as the production network of Celanese acetyls plants globally,\u201d said Todd Elliott, Celanese Senior Vice President, Acetyls.<\/p>\n<p>Synthesis gas, or syngas, is a mixture of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
