{"id":11576,"date":"2019-02-19T14:34:17","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T13:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/php8.plastv.de\/?p=11576"},"modified":"2019-02-18T15:35:48","modified_gmt":"2019-02-18T14:35:48","slug":"sealed-air-joins-new-global-alliance-to-help-end-plastic-waste-in-the-environment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plas.tv\/?p=11576","title":{"rendered":"Sealed Air Joins New Global Alliance to Help End Plastic Waste in the Environment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"field field-name-title field-type-ds field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-pr-date field-type-datetime field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>Sealed Air Corporation announced they have joined the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, a new global organization comprised of nearly 30 companies to date making a five-year commitment to invest $1.5 billion in solutions to help eliminate plastic waste in the environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Alliance brings together key members across the value chain, from materials suppliers to waste management companies, to jointly develop solutions that minimize and manage plastic waste, as well as promote means to use waste plastics in a circular economy,\u201d said Ted Doheny, Sealed Air President and CEO. \u201cOur increased investments in innovation, including collaborations with partners such as the Alliance, will help us accelerate progress toward our 2025 sustainability goals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Alliance is a nonprofit organization that unites companies that make, use, sell, process, collect, and recycle plastics. These plastic manufacturers, converters, consumer goods companies, brands, retailers, and waste management companies will work together for action to better the environment and the industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeeping our environment free of waste is important to the future of our planet,\u201d said Jim Fitterling, Dow CEO. \u201cWorking with companies like Sealed Air allows the Alliance to accelerate efforts and take decisive action to put an end to plastic waste in the environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to its participation in the Alliance, Sealed Air recently announced its 2025 Sustainability and Plastics Pledge, committing to delivering 100% recyclable or reusable packaging offerings, with 50% average recycled content by 2025.
