The awards are presented by R&amp;D World Magazine.<\/p>\n<p>The two DuPont finalists for 2021 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BETAMATE\u2122 2090 crash-resistant adhesive, which is used for electric vehicle battery housing assembly to help reduce mass and increase safety. The material bonds the base cooling plate to the battery box structure to help ensure the structural integrity and crash performance of the entire battery compartment through the lifetime of the vehicle. This is achieved through excellent corrosion resistance. Tailor-made curing kinetics enhance a lean and efficient assembly process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Delrin\u00ae Renewable Attributed polyoxymethylene (POM) was the first POM certified by the ISCC, according to mass balance principles, to be comprised of 100% bio-feedstock from waste and manufactured using 100% renewable energy. Delrin\u00ae Renewable Attributed exhibits excellent mechanical properties and enables the design of functional parts with an improved carbon handprint. The product helps enable a world-class environmental impact profile and is on the market for applications in the automotive, industrial, consumer, and electronics industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cDuPont\u2019s sustainability goals are aggressive and it\u2019s gratifying to have two important technologies named as R&amp;D 100 finalists that also showcase our commitment,\u201d said Randy Stone, President, DuPont Mobility &amp; Materials. \u201cWe continue to grow our portfolio of solutions that support vehicle electrification and products with a reduced footprint.
