With this project, <strong>Arkema is pursuing the repositioning of its portfolio on its core businesses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"content-block content-left content-rich-text content-color-blue accordion-content \">\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"content-text\">\n<p>Arkema produces <strong>bio-based and specialty epoxides<\/strong> in Blooming Prairie (MN, USA), used as additives or intermediates in the manufacture of lubricants, plastic additives and a wide variety of other applications<strong>.<\/strong> Part of Arkema\u2019s Hydrogen Peroxide activity, <strong>this business has limited integration with the rest of the Group\u2019s portfolio<\/strong>, generates sales of around US $40 million and employs approximately 45 people.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<aside><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arkema.com\/files\/live\/sites\/shared_arkema\/files\/images\/news\/press\/2021\/Arkema-Blooming%20Prairie%20MN%20-US%20General%20and%20large%20overwiew.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/aside>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"content-block content-center content-rich-text content-color-blue accordion-content \">\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"content-text\">\n<p><strong>By joining Cargill<\/strong>, a global player in bio-based-products, <strong>this business<\/strong> of high quality products <strong>will benefit from the size and the development strategy of this US Group<\/strong> that will offer new growth potential in the industrial markets.<\/p>\n<p>The offer received values this activity at US $38.8 million, which is around 10 times historical EBITDA.<\/p>\n<p>The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arkema announces the proposed divestment of its epoxides business to Cargill, a leader in agricultural products and services.
