Pryme will supply Shell from its first plant located in <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Currently under construction, the plant is scheduled <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">to become opera<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">tional in 2022 and is forecast to convert 60,000 tonnes of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">plastic waste into pyrolysis oil annually. Shell will use Pryme\u2019s pyrolysis oil in its <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Moerdijk (The Netherlands) and Rheinland (Germany) crackers to make circular <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">chemicals products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The agreement also includes provision for future supply to be delivered from <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Pryme\u2019s proposed second plant in the region. The proposed plant will have an <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">estimated annual pyrolysis oil production capacity of 350,000 tonnes. Start<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">up <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">for the second plant is<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">planned for 2024.<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u201cWith increasing demand for circular chemicals from customers, our agreement <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">with Pryme <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">enables us to significantly grow volumes as early as next year. The <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">agreement builds on Shell\u2019s ambition to recycle one million tonnes of plastic <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">waste per year in our global chemicals plants by 2025,\u201d said Thomas Casparie, <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">SVP North West Europe, Shell Che<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">micals and Products. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u201cTo support the long<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">term growth of this promising industry, Shell is excited to <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">work with key partners to develop the solutions necessary to produce the <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">industrial quantities required to meet customer demand and our ambition.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">As pa<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">rt of the strategic agreement, Shell and Pryme will cooperate on the testing <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and evaluation of pyrolysis liquid samples from Pryme\u2019s test plant in Ghent, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Belgium. This process will enhance the understanding of both companies into the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">optimal properties of <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">pyrolysis oil for use in chemical crackers.
