{"id":33592,"date":"2022-09-28T08:22:08","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T06:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/php8.plastv.de\/?p=33592"},"modified":"2022-09-27T11:23:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-27T09:23:57","slug":"arkema-increases-its-global-pebax-elastomer-capacity-expansion-for-2023-to-40","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plas.tv\/?p=33592","title":{"rendered":"Arkema increases its global Pebax elastomer capacity expansion for 2023 to +40%"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"content-block banner-introduction content-background-grey\">\n<div class=\"banner-introduction-wrapper\">\n<p>Arkema boosts its previously announced global Pebax<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> elastomer capacity expansion at its Serquigny, France site from +25% to +40% in two separate phases, firstly in Q1 2023 by raising global capacity by 15%, the additional 25% starting in Q3 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"content-block content-center content-rich-text content-color-gradient accordion-content \">\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"content-text\">\n<p>The greater increase in <a href=\"https:\/\/hpp.arkema.com\/en\/product-families\/pebax-elastomer-family\/\">Pebax<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> elastomer<\/a> capacity will support the strong demand from partner customers in the sports, consumer electronics, medical and industrial markets, who recognize <strong>the highly specialized Pebax<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> grades\u2019 lightweight, flexibility and exceptional energy return<\/strong>. Applications range from ultra-fast running shoes to catheters or flexible device screens.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond this new capacity expansion in France and to support the growth of its global customers, the Group is currently assessing further investment opportunities, including in Asia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"content-block content-left content-rich-text content-color-gradient accordion-content \">\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"content-text\">\n<p>As customer demand is increasingly driven by sustainability and social responsibility, over the last few years <strong>Arkema has benefited from strong growth in particular for its bio-based Pebax<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Rnew<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> grades, derived from renewable castor beans<\/strong>. These materials have a significantly lower carbon footprint thanks to their bio-based content and can be fully recycled as part of Arkema\u2019s Virtucycle<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> recycling program for advanced polymers.<\/p>\n<p>The Group continues to innovate and invest to further improve its materials\u2019 carbon footprint.
