Trinseo Announces Price Increase for Polystyrene, Polycarbonate and Copolymers in Europe  

Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), a global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber, and its affiliate companies in Europe announced today a price increase for all polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), ABS and SAN grades. Effective February 1, 2020, or as existing contract terms allow, the contract and spot prices for the products listed below will increase as follows:

  • STYRON™ general purpose polystyrene grades (GPPS) by 100 Euro per metric ton
  • STYRON™ and STYRON A-Tech™, STYRON C-Tech™ and STYRON X- Tech™ high impact polystyrene grades (HIPS) by 100 Euro per metric ton
  • CALIBRE™ Polycarbonate Resins by 150 Euro per metric ton
  • MAGNUM™ ABS resins by 55 Euro per metric ton
  • TYRIL™ SAN resins by 55 Euro per metric ton
