With immediate effect, the location in Monterrey ALBIS PLASTICS Corporation is renamed to MOCOM Compounds Mexico. By renaming it, the German-based compounder MOCOM is taking a further step towards a uniform brand presence globally. The renaming will not affect customers or any contractual partners or existing business relationships.
MOCOM Compounds Corporation has its headquarters in Duncan, South Carolina (U.S.) and is a division of MOCOM Compounds GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hamburg (Germany).
“With this step, we continue our journey as an independent compounder,” says Jens Kaatze, CEO of MOCOM. “We have an excellent legacy to build on, namely the expertise and know-how of our experienced team and our proven product brands. As an independent brand, we will fully focus our strength in developing and producing high quality, competitive material solutions in close cooperation with our customers as we have already done for the last years.”
Tony Smith, President & CEO of MOCOM Americas, adds: “This name change is a final step for the Americas in our branding of MOCOM as a leader in engineering plastics technology and expertise in compounding. While MOCOM Mexico has always been part of the MOCOM family this step now shows the world that this is indeed the case.”
“We eagerly anticipate embarking on this new chapter”, as Cesar Estrada Melo, Managing Director of MOCOM Compounds in Mexico, highlights. “The fresh strategy will empower us to further concentrate on our fundamental strengths as a compounder.”
MOCOM manufactures both prime as well as recycled compounds for a broad range of applications in various industries and is certified according to ISO 45001 (occupational safety management), ISO 14001 (environmental protection) and IATF 16949 (quality management systems).
