Omya Performance Polymer Distribution has been appointed by SK Chemicals as its distribution partner for SKYPEL® thermoplastic polyester elastomers (TPE-E) across European markets, effective July 1, 2026.
The appointment establishes a new strategic partnership between Omya Performance Polymer Distribution and SK Chemicals, enabling an innovation-led, coordinated go-to-market approach for SKYPEL® TPE-E across the region. Under the agreement, Omya Performance Polymer Distribution will provide pan-European sales coverage, technical support, and application development expertise to customers across automotive, electrical and electronics, wire and cable, consumer, and other end-use applications.
SKYPEL® TPE-E, SK Chemicals’ thermoplastic polyester elastomer portfolio, combines the flexibility of rubber with the properties of engineering plastics, delivering excellent mechanical performance, thermal stability, and processing versatility. The material is well suited for demanding applications where long-term performance and reliability are essential.
This partnership leverages Omya Performance Polymer Distribution’s decades of experience with TPEs, including a strong legacy and unrivalled reputation through Distrupol in Northern Europe. Its established European sales organization, deep technical know-how, and robust logistics infrastructure will enable efficient market development and long-term growth across the region.
